Even on grey rainy days when we wake up and go “Ugh!”…. God reminds us that He will pour out His spirit on us (and our children and grandchildren) and comfort us. That’s something better to focus on when we have to get out and trudge through the rain today. (I wonder if this is where the song Showers of Blessings originated?
It’s all about focus some days isn’t it? Rather than “getting up on the wrong side of the bed” when we can already hear the rain pouring outside, maybe just taking a moment to move our perspective. Just a moment to breathe, pray and thank God for the gift of His Spirit and His blessings (especially when we feel like thirsty dry ground). Even on the bad days….He walks with us. And He does all of this so that we will we glorify Him.
Let it rain!
