Boho Wedding Shower

Since Pinterest came on the scene, planning a big event is both awesome and overwhelming sometimes. Awesome because there are so many ideas out there to pull from and overwhelming because I often think that I just can’t pull it off to be Pinterest worthy. So much pressure.

But I do love it. I love planning events and creating an atmosphere that those attending the event may not have seen or experienced before. When it came time to plan a wedding shower for our daughter Lyndsay, her style was the driver for the theme. We decided on a boho theme at a local winery and it was a lot of fun to pull it together with friends and family.

Our plan was to have the shower set up outside overlooking the vineyard, but after setting up all of the tables and chairs, a storm blew through and we moved the set up under a covered patio. It turned out to be perfect. The patio featured a rock fireplace that we were able to use to display photos and décor.

It was a combination of some DIY, some borrowed items along with some purchased. Here’s what we came up with.

For the food I came up with a menu to go with our late brunch timeframe. Here are some of the menu highlights:

Our drink bar included mimosas with sparkling wine from the Linville Falls Winery, fruit flavored water and some flavored lemonades that I picked up. You can find them on Amazon or at TJ Maxx. (Belvoir Elderflower Lemonde, Belvoir Cucumber Melon, etc) Shop my curated list of Boho Wedding Shower items by clicking here.

The shower favors were rosemary infused olive oil. This was another DIY! I heated the oil with the fresh rosemary and then poured into small glass bottles I found at Michaels.  I added a fresh sprig of rosemary to the bottles with a cute tag. Detailed instructions here for you.
